Details to Include

A few facts let us arrive with the right parts and the right plan:

  • The gate type: swing, slide, cantilever, barrier arm or pedestrian gate.
  • The width of the opening, even a rough one.
  • The opener brand and model if there is one; it is usually on a label on the operator.
  • What the gate is doing: will not open, stops partway, reverses, drags, grinds.
  • Anything that changed: a storm, a plow, a car, a power outage.

Not sure what is wrong? The troubleshooting guide walks through the common symptoms and what is safe to check first.

Calling Instead

A phone call is the quickest way to describe a gate that will not open or close. If you can, call from where you can see the gate, with the opener’s label or the remote in hand, so you can answer questions about what it is doing while we talk.

Requests, Urgent Problems and Photos

What happens after I send the form?

The request comes to us with your details. We reach out by phone or email, whichever you chose, to ask any questions and to set up a time to look at the gate. A request on its own is not a booking; the visit is set when we talk.

My gate is stuck open or shut right now. What should I do?

Call rather than sending the form. Keep people, pets and cars clear of the gate, and turn off its power before touching it. If you know where the manual release is and the gate is safe to move, it can be opened by hand; never force a frozen or jammed gate or run the operator against it.

Can I send photos of the gate?

The form takes text only. Email photos to manager@oxborogatesdoors.com instead: one of the whole gate, one of the problem up close, and one of the operator’s label if it has one.

Rather talk it through? Call us.
