Gate Services in Bloomington
Our work falls into three parts: repairs, installations and maintenance, for driveway, pedestrian and commercial gates and the equipment that runs them.
Bloomington’s ramblers, newer subdivisions and commercial lots sit largely on clay that heaves with frost. Deep freezes, heavy snow and road salt are hard on gate posts, hinges and operators, so most gate trouble here comes back to how well the footings and hardware handle that freeze-thaw cycle year after year. Each service below deals with one part of that.
The Four Service Pages
Gate Installation
New driveway swing and slide gates, pedestrian gates and the posts and footings they hang from.
Gate Repair
Sagging, dragging and binding gates, bent rollers, worn hinges and posts knocked out of plumb.
Gate Openers
Swing and slide operators installed, replaced and serviced, with photo eyes and battery backup.
Access Control
Keypads, remotes, intercoms, card readers and vehicle detection for gated entries.

Some of Our Gate Work
A few of the gates and operators from our own jobs: a slide gate, a composite driveway gate, a swing operator with its keypad and a walk gate on heavy hinges. The Our Work page has more, grouped by the kind of work.
Homes, Associations and Businesses
We work for three kinds of property. Homeowners usually have one driveway gate, sometimes with a walk gate beside it. Associations share an entry or two that every resident uses many times a day, so wear and remote management matter more. Small commercial sites need gates that open for staff and deliveries and close after hours. The commercial gate page covers the multi-gate side in more detail.
Getting Ready for a Minnesota Winter
Winter brings this trade the most work here. Deep freezes thicken grease and drain batteries, so openers slow down or stall; snow and ice pack into slide gate tracks; and plowed snow and road salt pile against hinges and bottom rails. Before the first snow, clear the track, test the safety sensors and check how old the backup battery is. The winter gate care guide has the full list.
Questions About Our Services
Do you work on home gates, commercial gates or both?
Both. We work for homeowners, associations and small commercial sites in Bloomington and the nearby cities. The work is the same trade at a different scale: a single driveway gate at a house, or several entries with keypads and remotes at an association.
What if I am not sure which service I need?
Describe what the gate is doing when you call or in the request form. A gate that sags, an opener that stalls and a keypad that stays dark are different problems, and the troubleshooting guide can help you narrow it down first.
Can one visit cover a repair and maintenance?
Yes. When we are already at the gate for a repair, the maintenance work of lubricating hardware, adjusting travel and limits, testing sensors and tightening posts can usually be done at the same time.
Tell us what the gate is doing and we will point you to the right service.
